Of the many approaches to eliminating waste, reducing the number of overprovisioned or unnecessarily provisioned virtual machines has significantly more cost-effective potential than other approaches. Gaining enhanced control of the inflow of virtual machines is far easier than trying to weed out unnecessary or overprovisioned virtual machines later on.
