The use of automated job scheduling and workload automation software tools typically brings direct benefits to both IT operations and end users, in terms of cost savings, operational efficiency, reduced down time, and increased productivity. These areas were the principal focus of this CA ESP Workload Automation ROI study. The study was based on standard IDC return on investment (ROI) methodology, which was used to calculate average cost savings resulting from higher availability, including changes in downtime, improved IT efficiency, and increased user productivity resulting from use.
