ABSTRACT:
This document provides medium-scale, enterprise-class SAP customers running Windows and MS-SQL with a comprehensive set of best practices to appropriately configure and productively deploy SAP NetWeaver and a typical ERP application onto HP c-Class blade servers and a SAN-based infrastructure.
By implementing the best practices provided in this white paper, HP:
- Reduced the baseline response time of the SAP workload by 67% with basic buffer tuning
- Improved I/O response time by 60% by properly sizing the number of disks
- Reduced response time by up to 40% when the SAP work processes were properly configured
